    Almost all the latest generation of external optical drives will work using the power from one USB port. Samsung. LG and Liteon are three names that come to mind. Subject to checking on the power requirements, price and features (including any bundled software) are the key considerations. The SE-S084C comes with Nero essentials, which is a good burning package.
