    Hello

I'm interested in this model but it is not available in EU locations. I am currently living in France but will move to the UK in a few months. I'm not sure how to proceed in this case. I found several threads in these forums on similar topics but they were all more than a year old and not relevant to this particular model. It seems pretty difficult to estimate the total cost of importing due to the byzantine customs system.

    What are your suggestions?

    Kind regards :)

There's a listing on UK ebay and there are other US etailers who may be happy to ship to the UK. Note that you will be liable to tax / duties on arrival. When I bought a notebook from the US over 10 years ago the tax was 20% VAT, but the shipping company may also have their own charges for handling the tax payment. Some US companies use the system for pre-paying the tax / duty which then avoids handling charges and delays.

I would point out that the US keyboard has a different layout to the European keyboards which can be confusing for the fingers.

Or try amazon.com. Sometimes they have special offers when it is 100-200 $ cheaper. I bought the non Pro there. Shipping takes about 2 weeks and VAT incl. shipping is paid directly to amazon.com. So no trouble with tax or shipping companies. However, you should be aware that it is quiet impossible to send it back in case of warranty issues. The shipping guidelines make it really difficult to deliver something with a battery inside a plane.
