I reformatted the hard drive on my QX411-W01 and reinstalled Windows about a month ago. Before the reinstall the battery time remaining would be around 7-8 hours. Now it keeps saying 4-5 hours at the same battery percentage. I don't know why there would be a change by just reinstalling Windows. Does anyone know how I can get the great battery life I had before the reformat or ways to improve it? This is really kind of annoying me

Have you really drained the battery and see the real battery life from 100%?

Your new Windows installation may not be achieving the same level of power efficiency as the old one. 8 hours run time probably means an average power drain of around 7W. Features such as slighly higher CPU utilisation, having Bluetooth enabled, .... could easily result in a power drain of 10W and drop the battery run time to 5 hours.

A program such as HWiNFO32 will let you see the battery power drain (click on the sensors button) as well as the CPU speed.
