    Hey guys,

I havn't really tried linux at all before but am so far loving it. I am however having a few problems that would be great to get some help with!

    http://www.linlap.com/wiki/samsung+q310

This website seems to be giving me some pointers. When i installed i did not disable APCI...Although i do not seem to be having the same problems as other have had with a constant reboot (wonder if this is to do with the bios update?).
The guide says it may be good to 'A workaround is to add mem=4096M to the grub line' although i do not understand how to do this?

Another problem is that when i press the brightness down key the laptop crashes!

Has anyone on here got this OS or another linux varient workign well on a samsung q310?

    thanks guys!
