Recently switched from the NP550P7C to the series 7 Gamer NP700G7C.

All good for gaming so far and the fan heats up my house nicely too.

One frustrating issue I've found is that Blu Rays seem to play eratically and stutter using the bundled PowerDVD 10 software. I've tried updates (there are none) and various combinations of software and hardware decoding.

Anyone else have this issue and solved it?

Is it always stuttering or only in certain scenes? Are you using the Aero or Classic theme?

Seems random, can be on any scene or disc, no particular pattern.
IIRC the OS sets the theme to classic automatically when the DVD software launches.

Hmmmm well as the drive plays normal DVD with no issues I suspect this is software rather than hardware - maybe test an alternative player - loathe to lose the laptop for weeks for this.
