I just bought a series 7 yesterday, which I like a lot. But as I was reading on here and have experienced myself my wifi is awful compared to my old Lenovo. What should I do? Is there any fix? Or is my best bet to return it? Does this effect all laptops of this model or will an exchange suffice.

if it's a broadcom try updating the driver using the driver on samsung's site
it improves signal quality a little bit. not much but it's something.
i also mounted my router on my wall as well
i went from 2 bar wifi signal to 4 bars with the updated drivers
after mounting my router in a better position on the wall i get 5 bars anywhere in the house.
this is not an excuse though...im disappointed because before my old laptop always had excellent signal even without updating the drivers and moving the router -

turn off bluetooth network connection.
i don't know why it's on by default but why have it on if you dont use it?
maybe this helps the connection maybe not. lol ever since i updated the driver and moved my router its perfect. i just noticed the bluetooth network was on last night and turned it off
at the library its perfect too. -
After upgrading the Broadcom card to the Intel 6230 advanced N, there was an improvement, but the signal still degraded rapidly so there were many dead spots with no signal. I was using the D-Link Advanced N DIR-825 router capable of 300 Mbps link speeds. Other laptops that were in the house did not have this problem of rapid signal deterioration. Using a tool like inSSIDer I could track the signal strength which was far worse on my Samsung S04-US model as compared to the Samsung Galaxy tablet 10.1 and Lenovo as well as Asus laptops. I checked the antenna connections to the wireless card to make sure these were secure and the wireless utility indicated that both antennas were working.
I then upgraded to the Netgear N900 wireless router that offers connect speeds up to 450 Mbps. The Intel 6230 card is capable of link speeds of 300 Mbps (limited by 2 antennas in the hardware) - and right next to the router the speeds would fluctuate between 150 - 270 Mbps. The range improved somewhat with better signal coverage in prior dead spots. I'm getting 3 bars where I had no coverage before but speeds were still in the 45-80 Mbps range.
Finally, in frustration, not wanting to be placed physically close to the router to receive a good signal, I decided to take the plunge and get the Trendnet TEW-684UB 450 Mbps wireless USB adapter for $56.
I am now getting a rock solid 450 Mbps link speed at distances over 20 feet through several thick walls. I have the router in my study on a different floor from the family room and can finally work in all areas of the house without losing the signal.
Samsung needs to do a better job of wireless implementation. CES 2012 had several wireless routers on display with speeds over 1 Gigabit per second - yes, as fast as wired gigabit ethernet. Laptop manufacturers that can tap into this superfast technology will be in great demand if they can make it affordable.
