    Hi all,

Recently I had an attempt at installing a Sandisk Extreme 240gb SSD into the laptop. I've moved the HDD to a caddy that replaces the optical drive and put the SSD where the HDD was.

I had Numerous problems with Bios and getting the SSD to boot. Eventually I got it booted, and its in a clean install of windows... driverless.

I've noticed in other posts, that I should have done a backup of all my drivers (damn it!).

I'm downloading all the drivers off the Series 7 Samsung support page, but everytime I try to install the VGA driver, it does a BSOD as I boot up Windows.

Would anyone have had the same problem, or know where a list of working Samsung Series 7 Drivers are? If there's any program that can help find the drivers of the Samsung laptop it would very appreciated..

Also for those that managed to install a SSD successfully... did u run into any problems?? Because I've had numerous problems that Windows says apparently is because of my SSD. (GPT/MBR issues, driver issues etc.)

    Thanks so much in advance

Sorry to bump, still working on the issue..

I've found that the BSOD says "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

After some research, it appears to be a driver issue, I'm 99% sure it's with the VGA AMD drivers on samsung's site.

Has anyone tried reinstalling windows with the correct VGA drivers for the laptop?

    Cheers for any help

    1. Exactly which model is your Series 7?

    2. Have you tried using Samsung's Easy Software Manager to find the right graphics driver. If in doubt start with the driver on the drivers / software backup disk that you should have made using Samsung Recovery Solution.
