Easy Software Manager will have it cached somewhere. If you know the approximate time / date when you downloaded the update then you can search C: to find and delete the installer.

Most likely a file bigger than 50MB in a folder such as Easy Software Manager or Downloads. However, I am guessing.

My Easy Software Manager also pops up a message every now and again about a failed installation of Easy Settings. It didn't fail because have I deliberately refrained from installing the update after it had previously screwed up the Intel Rapid Start.

How is it failing? Do you get an error message?

Yes, you need Easy Settings. Why not revert to the one supplied with your computer or one on the Samsung downloads site listed for your computer? I think that Samsung have tried to create universal Easy Settings and didn't test it properly before release.

yea when i click update, file will download and proceed to 100%. the installation will open and then a dialog within the update window will say failed. basically nothing happens. the easy settings folder is empty inside program files too.

Easy software manager downloads zipped installers/updaters to:
    c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\ESM\Compress

Go to the Samsung website for your country, select support and then select your model. You should find Easy Settings on the software list.
