Hi , My samsung x360 came with vista business, and I plan to downgrade to windows xp. The thing is the US version doesnt come with the XP disc, neither the external DVD driver. So I am wodering if it takes the OEM XP. for example, use the XP CD came with NC10. I check the bios samsung provided for US and UK are identical so I guess the OEM info is inside the bios. thus It will take SAMSUNG OEM XP. Also , I am plan to do it through USB Flashdrive, any suggestion or infomation? Thanks

    Hi,

After I received my Samsung X360 notebook,I decided to contact the Samsung technical support dept. to find out how I could downgrade from windows vista os to windows xp os. The technician I spoke to gave me a transaction number. This transaction number enabled him to put in a request for a windows xp professional cd so I could be able to downgrade to windows xp. Approximately four days after I spoke to the technician, I received the windows xp professional cd via UPS and he also told that I needed to download and burn, from the Samsung website the windows xp drivers onto a cd. I hope this helps you a little. :)

It is possible that the Samsung netbook CD may work but I would note (i) this is XP Home netbook edition whereas your downgrade from Vista Business entitles you to XP Pro; (ii) the CD may check for netbook hardware.

There is more discussion about the XP downgrade in this thread.

well. thanks for all the help .
but when you install xp using the xp pro samsung provided, do you need to type in the cd key during the installation process. Or it just simply finish the installation by itself without a cd key .
