I hope this is the correct place to post this question.

I bought a Samsung Q320 laptop about 3 weeks ago.

For warranty purposes, do I need to register my purchase with Samsung?

If so, do I need to do this within a certain timeframe after purchase?

If you hold onto your proof of purchase then you shouldn't. Only if you have purchased an additional warranty with Samsung do you need to register it.

Normally, any defects with the unit are dealt with through the retailer under the first year guarantee.

I kinda thought so - not too sure why I thought otherwise!

    Thanks.
