How about some feedback for Samsung to help them understand the missing features that users would find useful?

I'm on my second 15.6" Chronos Laptop (the first developed a line of dead pixels and was returned). I have "souped up" the Chronos with a 256Gb SATA III Samsung 830 series 6GB/s SSD and swapped out the optical drive with the 750 Gig Hitachi HDD. I am using the optical drive in an external enclosure. I have also upgraded the Broadcom card with the Intel Advanced N dual band 6230 wireless card. In addition, I extend my screen to a 54 inch HDTV monitor using the D-Link Mainstage adapter with audio output connected to a digital amplifier powering 7 surround speakers. This setup comes close to what I envision to be my "dream system".

Here are my thoughts on missing features on the base NP700ZAH-S04US:

    1. Intel Advanced N 6230 wireless card instead of Broadcom, so we can enjoy the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels and WiDi capabilities of the Intel card.
    2. Manually switchable graphics so users can configure use of the ATI Radeon or Intel card with specific applications. Or simply turn off one or the other card. I have no problems with You Tube video as some others seem to experience.
    3. Blu-ray drive instead of DVD RAM.
    4. Better monitor with 1080p resolution and improved viewing angles. Like the matte screen compared to many other laptops on the market.
    5. More responsive trackpad. (I have no problems with mine and actually prefer mine to the Mac Book Pro).

Anything essential that Forum members would like to add to this wish list? I actually priced out a Mac Book Pro with the configuration on my Chronos series 7 and the MacBook price was over $2700. So the Samsung is a relative bargain in comparison.

That looks like a pretty good list to me. I might add (1) dedicated mic/headphone jacks instead of the combo (not sure what the logic was in combining them, and it creates some issues if you're using both devices), and (2) a VGA output or an adapter (thought one came with the system, but mine didn't). Maybe these are too much to ask for such a slim device, but there seems to be enough space on the chassis (not sure about the system board, though).

Off-topic here, but curious what external enclosure you used for the ODD? I'd like to do that eventually.
