I have a samsung R20 which i am selling and i have used the recovery utility to restore vista, However the problem is that after using recovery my name appears and i am asked for my password,This is not a problem as i have the password and can the remove my name and the password but when i sell the machine if the new owner does a recovery he will come back to the my name being shown and the request for a password,Could you please tell me is there any way to change this so that when the new owner does a recovery no password is required and my name doesnt appear,
    thanks in advance

    A couple of thoughts...

Was this recovery from the image on the HDD? If so, there may be more than one restore image and you want to remove the newer one.

Otherwise, if you use the recovery disk then that shouldn't have your name. Once you have restored from the disc then you could save a new recovery image.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, yes the recovery was from the Hdd howevr when i use the recovey disk this installs windows and then you use the other disc to install drivers ,unfortunately even after doing this if the new owner uses the recovery on the hdd it goes back to asking for my name and password,As you suggest it seems that the recovery partition has saved these details and there is no way to get at them ,This is not too much of a problem as i will just have to give him the password with the laptop it just seems that if there was a way of removing it it would make life easier for the new owner in case he ever lost the password

    thanks
