Like many of You I own samsung chronos np700z7c.

I am trying to install windows 7/8 on newly installed SSD drive (the old one just died). Since I have no backup of any drivers I tried to download them from samsung's website.

The ones listed on the website do not cover some of the devices. I am stuck with one unknown device - Vendor "sam" -(looks like samsung), Device 0714 - it is listed under ACPI.

Perhaps someone with more experience has some knowledge on what this missing item can be? Alternatively could someone be so kind and put the entire folder containing drivers (I believe it is located in windows/system32/driverstore).

Are there any other sources of drivers for this model?

    Many thanks.

true - the size is huge. Is there any way to isolate just those drivers belonging to samsung?

I have used advanced system care to backup all my driver`s , and i am currently uploading it, it`s around 100mb , i dont know if this will work, as i dont have your exact model, mine is an Samsung NP550P7C-S02UK

    John.

EDIT : HERE IS THE LINK.

Just extract the zip then go into device manager find the unknown and do an "update driver" and then, "browse my computer for driver software" and then set the search directory to where you extracted the drivers.

Why not use Samsung's SW Update to get all the drivers and software recommended by Samsung for your notebook? You can download it here.
