    Samsungs Senior Sales & Marketing Manager Mobile Computing in Germany bet to a editor of a computer magazine that Samsung's Q25 1600 Byron would be still one of the top models in its category at the CeBit 06.

    As the title already says: The Samsung man lost! Therefore Samsung sells this notebook the whole March for 1000 EUR less (but only in Germany).

    To sum up: The Q25 costs now 1.999,00 EUR instead of the regular price of 2.999 EUR.

    Short description of the Q25 1600 Byron
    * Intel Pentium M processor 778 (1,6 GHz, LV)
    * 512 MB PC2700 (2 x 256 MB) ram
    * 80 GB EIDE-Festplatte 5.400 rpm
    * 12.1“ XGA TFT / 1.024 x 768 Pixel
    * Intel 855 GM Extreme Graphics 2 max. 64 MB
    * Wi-Fi 802.11b/g; 10/100 Ethernet; 56K V.90 modem
    * multi bay DVD-Super-Multi Double Layer DVD-burner
    * free powerbattery, docking station
    * weighing: ~1.300 g

    Imho, it is still unreasonably overpriced for the quality and specs. With such a price policy Samsung will loose its business.

    I think Samsung still makes money even selling this notebook for 1000 EUR less.

    It's really a pity that Samsung notebooks are that expensive.
