    Hi everyone,

I have samsung laptop NP300EA-S08FR and during last couple months my hard disk frequently was blocking, so I would like to replace it. My actual hard disk is Seagate ST500LM012, HN-M500MBB/SCC and want to install new one with 1Tb storage space, so I don"t know what kind of hard disk I should buy. Please help, thanks in advance .

All you ned to do is look for a 9.5mm thick 2.5" 1TB SATA hard drive. They are interchangeable parts made to standard sizes. In fact, a 7mm thick drive would also fit because the screw holes and connectors still line up.

Here are some that would fit: Seagate / Samsung HN-M101MBB / ST1000LM024); Hitachi Travelstar 7K1000 (which is a 7200 rpm drive so slightly faster); Toshiba MQ01ABD100; Western digital WD10JPVX. There are probably more.

If you buy a USB to 2.5" enclosure / adapter then you can transfer information from the old drive to the new one. Do you have recovery discs for reinstalling Windows?
