i've been searching for a new notebook and recently stumbled onto samsung's line which is unavailable in the US. However, i have a good friend in Hong Kong and the Samsung line is available there. We regularly ship products back and forth to each other that are exclusive to our respective countries.

the last time i was there, i used my i2100 with a power converter with no problems.

query: if i were to purchase a samsung notebook that was spec'd out for the HK market and had my friend ship it here to me, what could i expect when trying to use the notebook here in the States other than having the convert the power/charge?

    thanks

No difference assuming an English keyboard and XP install. Of course support may be an issue, but you know that going in.
