    Look in Device Manager.

Do your network devices show any errors? I wonder if the update installed the wrong driver.

I had to delete the post quoted above from the Win8.1 update thread because you are cross posting. NBR (and almost every internet forum) only allow members to post their question in one place at a time, so that they don't monopolize traffic on the board. It's not just you, many people do it; new members in particular.

The following is from our forum rules:

Now, as for your problem, here are my suggestions:

    1) First make sure you can browse the internet (using IE or any browser) and otherwise use network (it sounds like you already did that). If you CANNOT access the internet, make sure it isn't a router or provider problem: Try with your smartphone or tablet (maybe that is what you tried).

    2) If you CANNOT browse internet from your laptop, but you CAN from your smartphone or tablet, the problem is definitely with your network setup on the laptop. In that case I suggest the following steps:

    a) Uninstall any current network drivers using the Windows Programs and Features control panel, reboot.

    b) Delete the network adapters in Device Manager and select Delete the driver software for this device.

    c) Select Scan for hardware changes in the Action menu (or right-click).

    d) Keep repeating (b) and (c) until you no longer get the Delete the driver software for this device option. You are now back to Windows' built-in network drivers.

    e) Reboot. Connect to the network.

    3) After this, check that you can browse the internet. If you still CANNOT, something is seriously wrong, and you need to use Recovery (F4 after power on) and restore to factory. Or restore a backup of your Windows installation from before the 8.1 update.

    4) Once you are able to browse the internet, try and run SW Update again. If it still doesn't work, uninstall SW Update using the Programs and Features control panel, reboot, then re-install SW Update from this Samsung page.

Do note that SW Update is sometimes unable to access the Samsung servers, and will tell you so. When that happens, you'll just have to try again later. No need to fix anything on your computer in that case.

And don't worry about your English, just do your best :)

Ok. As I wrote in step 1, it sounded like you had internet, I just wasn't sure. Now go to step 4. Make sure you download SW Update from the link I posted.

Edit: Seeing that you have several unsupported devices in Device Manager makes me think this is a new clean install, is that correct? If so, which drivers did you install so far, and where did you get them (if not from SW Update)?

Normally SW Update will look for your Recovery Partition in such cases and pull drivers from the SystemSoftware folder there. Do you still have Recovery intact?
