I'm looking at the Samsung Series 7 17.3" laptop, and am hoping somone can explain the difference between the S01US and the S03US.

    From Samsung's website I've found:
    - the S01US has a "full LED" screen, although both screens have the same resolution (1920 x 1080) and brightness (300)
    - the S01US has a 2 GB NVDIA GT 650M card; the S03US has a 1 GB NVDIA GT 650M card.
    - the S01US comes with a 1 TB, 5400 rpm HD; the S03 comes with a 750 GB, 7200 rpm hard drive
    - the S01US costs about $150 more

I'm trying to figure out if the S01 is worth the extra money, knowing I'll also have replace the slow 5400 rpm HD with either a 7200 rpm or an SSD. Does the extra GB in the video card really make a difference?

For what it's worth, this is for work. I will be running AutoCAD, which is very resource intensive.

I doubt if the GPU difference will have much impact on performance unless you are rendering extremely complex 3D models. I would keep the money and put it towards an SSD which will provide a noticeable improvement on overall performance.
