Hello,
I want to get myself the Samsung Series 7 NP730C3E. This Review states that it is possible to remove the base plate. They also unscrewed and removed the battery as it can be seen on this Image. As I will use the notebook daily while being away on business I will drain down the battery quite often. Also I tend to remove the battery when I am not needing it to preserve battery life. I cannot do that here, because its not that easy to remove. What are your experiences with batteries in notebooks like this one? Is it a problem, that I cannot remove it, when I am not needing it? Will it last long with daily use or will I have to replace it soon? If so, where can I get some spare parts? I tend to use it for at least 4 to 5 years. Does Samsung provide (and replace) batteries for that long?
Thanks for your time

Samsung provide an option called Battery Life Extender in the Settings program. This option limits the charge to 80% and appears to be effective at limiting the wear: The battery in my NP900X4C is at 0% wear after nearly 11 months. However, it has not been drained many times but is evidently not suffering from being left plugged into the mains for 3/4 of the time. It may, therefore, live to fulfill Samsung's claim of more than 75% capacity (or some similar value) after 3 years.
Spare batteries are available. You can search samsungparts.com to find the battery part number and then do a wider search using that part number to find who else stocks it.
