I haven't tried the leshcat driver because I haven't had any issues with 8.940 (if it aint broke, don't fix it).

I don't have Skyrim, but a number of my other games only show the Intel card in the game config, but are definitely running on the Radeon (based on performance). I wouldn't worry about the detected device as long as the performance is acceptable.

Just picked up Portal 2 (Steam sale for $10) and it runs smooth as silk at native resolution with everything maxed, 8x MSAA, 16x AF, and Triple Buffering on.

Add Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex: Human Evolution to the list of games that work! They both detect only the Intel GPU, but performance is great, so must be running on the AMD.

Bioshock 1 and 2 both run really well. Anything using Unreal Engine is pretty dang smooth.

Ummm... Just Cause 2 does not run great fully maxed out on my S7 at native res (15 - 25 FPS, so unplayable). I highly doubt that Skyrim does either.

Just cause runs fully maxed out. Skyrim runs at high settings not ultra. Ultra gets slightly less frames.

I'm getting very poor performance on Crysis (15 - 25 FPS on medium settings, 1440 x 900, no AA, less than 10 FPS at native res on high settings). This is MUCH lower than the benchmarks for the 6750M listed for Crysis here:

    AMD Radeon HD 6750M - Notebookcheck.net Tech

    and here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...amd-radeon-hd-6750m-benchmarking-results.html

Update: uninstalling the AMD driver, cleaning with Driversweeper, and reinstalling the driver solved this issue. Now, getting 25 - 35 FPS with a mix of High and Ultra High settings at native resolution.

    Awesome!

According to the benchmarks for Just Cause 2 shown here, it is not playable "maxed out" on the 6750M:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...amd-radeon-hd-6750m-benchmarking-results.html

It only reaches 22 FPS at 1080p with the following settings off: AA, v-sync, high res shadows, SSAO, Point Light Specular

Well yeah it is working. But if you set the shadow setting to be high, then FPS starts to drop down. I would let that setting alone as Low, the rests are high and would be able to achieve about 40-50 FPS. Also, in my case, I have to lower down the resolution for smooth gaming and use Full Screen. Don't know why using Windows Mode reduces the FPS.

With everything on high I'm usually around 30fps... With Shadows lowered to Medium (not low) it's around 50fps.

Most programs get less fps when in windowed mode, call it a Windows feature... :(

It depends on both the program and the gpu mainly.

I'm sure it is the card or driver because Windows Mode on my desktop is not really different from Fullscreen. One thing that I noticed is that GPU work load decreased on Windows Mode. Full Screen alwasy runs at 98-99%, but Windows Mode dropped about 60-80%.

anyone having issues with metro 2033 not reckognizing the AMD graphics? I've tried it with the 8.940 drivers and the leshcats' - both won't run the game because it detects the intel 3000 instead. I've checked power settings (all on max performance) and the catalyst control center (high performance on metro 2033 exe) but still no avail.

When I then run the game in safe mode because the normal mode crashes, it works fine in dx9, dx10 and dx11 mode on high settings... but it won't boot normally!!

i got metro2033 to work by using a tool called 3d-analyze. It "fools" or emulates a different video card and makes the game believe i'm running a ATI Radeon 9800pro. As far as I can see it does not sacrifice performance at all! So a big tip for anyone having trouble launching certain games: download the tool here: .: ToMMTi-Systems :: Hinter den Kulissen moderner 3D-Hardware :.

Dead Space 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 both run fairly well maxed-out at 1080p on my LED TV.

I can't get Trackmania United running as well as would be expected though. Benchmark produces only 19 FPS maxed at 1080p.

OK, I tested it out during the weekend. When I start it up, it reports an error. Something about my Direct3D card not being supported, and the game will likely be unstable as a result. It only detects / lists the Intel chip like many other games (e.g. Burnout Paradise).

However, after clicking OK and starting the game, it appears to "boot" normally - no need for safe mode. It runs on the Radeon with reasonably fluid framerates on "Normal" settings at native res, although some graphics tweaking is needed to be playable at that res.

hmm interesting, I had the same error. Have you tried the tool 3d analyze? It emulates a supported videocard and I'm gettting smooth framerates on high!

    At 1600 x 900?

I guess it depends what you mean by "smooth". According to all the benchmarks I've seen, the 6750M should only be able to manage 12 - 15 FPS on maximum settings, which reflects my experience (DirectX 11).

I haven't tried that 3D analyze tool, because I think it's running fine without it, and it hasn't been updated in many years.

Max Payne 3 runs at over 30 FPS at 1440 x 900 in DX11, with everything maxed, FXAA on High, SSAO, no MSAA and Tessellation off. Basically, it looks and runs great at that res.

Deadspace 2, Assassin's Creed 2, FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, Prince of Persia 2008, and PoP Forgotten Sands all run at over 30 FPS at 1080p maxed no AA. Forgotten sands suffers from bad screen tearing though, and VSync lowers the FPS to around 25 at this res.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit runs well at 1080p maxed out.

I'm pretty impressed with this GPU.
