Hey Guys,
Just ordered a Samsung Series 7 and I also purchased a 128GB solid state hardrive that I originally put into my Dell XPS 17 (just returned it-had a horrible matte screen coating). Can I put this SSD into my Samsung Series 7? Because I really do not want it sitting here collecting dust. Also, if its complicated, can I hire geek squad or somthing to do it?
Thank you!

Yes you can. Just open the bottom of the new laptop up, pull the HD out, put new SSD in and you're good to go.
Just make sure you have a way of getting your OS onto the new SSD. -
Sweet, thanks....also is there 2 harddrive slots by any chance? bc it already comes with a stock 1 terabyte hardrive and I would hate to waste it

But some people have removed the DVD-RW and put in a caddy for a harddriver there. If that is an option for you. -
A couple tips through my experience doing this...
1) Read this http://forum.notebookreview.com/sam...ies-7-chronos-np700z5a-disassembly-guide.html.
2) Remember to take out the fake sd card. You can't get it open without taking it out. It took me a while to figure that out and i wasted a lot of time. It is obvious if you think about it but i wasn't thinking =P .
3) Make sure not to strip the screws. You will be screwed if you do. =P
4) Don't be scared to use some force when opening it. There are no small wires or anything that will get damaged when separating the back.
Hopefully this helps! Let us know how it goes~
Update:
This caddy has been reported to work well if you are interested in replacing the dvd drive with that second hard drive when you get the laptop open. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SATA-2nd-HD...niversal-CD-DVD-ROM-Optical-Bay-/290636895162 -
Waiting for 17.3" chronos. I heard it has 2 drive bays.
I am waiting for it because of these features.
1. 2 hdd bays
2. Long battery
3. Matte Screen + full HD
4. JBL Speaker
Lets see, when it will be in hand -

I did, I didn't know if the caddy was the same all around or what not so I just wanted to be sure. It was a big price difference so I took a bit on the ebay one, hoping it'll work perfectly when it comes in.
