    Hi all,

Can anyone be so kind to confirm if Samsung Serie 5 np530u3c (or np530u3b) Ultrabook has "Silent Mode" (lowering cpu max speed allowed I think)?. Is it operational?. If so, can it be useful to limit surfaces temps when the ambient temperature is very very high (hot summer)?.

In User's manual from Samsung site it's pointed F11 or "fn + F11" keys to access to this "Silent Mode". But I have not read any reference thereto in any review or from comment from Samsung Series 5 users. Although often it's discussed in more expensive Series (Like Serie 9, ie: 900x3c, x3b, x3a...).

    2. Is sound quality of Series 5 enough to watch occasionally movies & TV (ie: with avermedia usb tv) ) without much troubles?

    Thank you very much.

It looks like the speakers are underneath the front next to the feet,so i would not expect much for the audio quality, I have had a few Samsungs and they have always run quiet, and i have never had to use the silent mode.
