Hi guys, i hope someone can help me on this, i got this Samsung notebook and what i do not like is the screen, i was reading another thread of a Series 7 and a change of screen but i don't know if this is possible for a Series 5, so i was wondering if anyone here tried this, i want better resolution and a glossy screen but don't know which model of screen and that.

And the other thing is, can i put any SSD? Like if i take out the Crucial M4 from my Desktop PC it'll work, right?

Well, hope someone can hep me, thanks!

What resolution display have you got and did Samsung sell a version of the NP550P5C with a higher resolution display?

What is the thickness of your current HDD? If it is 9.5mm then most 2.5" SSDs will fit. If the HDD is 7mm thick then you will need to look for a 7mm SSD. The Crucial m4 was sold in both thicknesses.

Yup! There is a NP550P5C version of a 1600x900 resolution, didn't realize that after i saw your comment, i wanted 1080 but better 900 than nothing, and about the HDD i don't know, guess i'll have to found out.

PD: Read the other thread, the oficial for NP550P5C and found out it this site https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Samsung/NP550P5C-S02US/ that 1600x900 screen is compatible with my notebook, gues i should give it a try.
