    Hi,

I recently bought a Samsung Series 5 15inch notebook with a corei5 processor and nvidia 650m graphics card. The notebook also has integrated graphics from Intel. I have been trying to play some movies from my collection and I am seeing some strange issues. The HD videos play nicely and I dont see any stutter at all. However with the SD videos of reasonably good quality, I am having a horrible time. The videos look very grainy. I understand this laptop has a HD resolution of 1600 X 900 and some low quality videos may look bad, but these same movies play nicely with my other Dell latitude laptop with a resolution of 1366 X 768. If I use VLC, there is no way, I can force the laptop to use the nvidia card. So, I am using xbmc and forcing it to use the nvidia 650M. But even then the videos dont improve. They play as if I am playing some low res 3gp file.

Any help would be appreciated. I am new to the forum so I have no idea if it is the correct place to ask.
