Hey guys,
I had a Series 7 S01 UK, i7 8GB model, however the hard drive failed and it had to be returned. Samsung authorised a replacement but have sent me back a lower specl A01UK version that has an i5 processor and 6GB of ram.
Are they allowed to do this or should I send it back and demand a proper replacement?
Thoughts?
Thanks

Looks like they replaced it with an S09 model? I didn't know there was even a 15" S7 that came with i5 instead of i7.

That's outrageous - I would demand one with equal specs.

When was there an A01UK model? -
I called them to indicate my utter displeasure at the situation. They are out of stock of the i7 models apparently. However, I find it incredible that rather than discuss with me the options regarding the fact they were out of stock, they just sent me an inferior model back, presumably in the hope I wouldn't notice.
I asked for a part refund to get back the difference in value of the machines but they refused. I have therefore requested a refund. Not happy. -

It's PR if they fail this. Samsung will look really bad.

The plot thickens. This is getting ridiculous.

Their FB wall is flooded with Android ICS user requests. So yours got buried.
