Bestbuy has the Samsung NP-R480-JAB1US on sale for $680. This one has a Blu-Ray player/DVD burner, so the price is not bad. Description says it has Intel 4500MHD graphics. I thought the i3 processors come with Intel HD graphics. Does anyone know what it actually has? TIA.

The generic specifications at the back of the user guide list several hardware options.

However, I agree that the combination of 4500MHD graphics with a Core i3 CPU is anomalous given that a GPU is included in the CPU package. Best Buy are probably quoting the NP-R480-JAB1US specs on the Samsung website and it wouldn't be the first time that someone preparing a web page doesn't understand the hardware differences. Unless someone pops here with first-hand knowledge of this model and confirm the hardware I suggest that you contact Samsung support via the email link at the bottom of any of the support FAQs. This should reach one of the technical people who understand the hardware somewhat better than the marketing folk.

I agree. I would be shocked if the Best Buy R480 did not have the Intel GMA HD, which is far better than the 4500 HD. That said, if you can afford a model with a core i5, any of them, even the i5-430, you get the benefit of the Intel "turbot boost" aka, overclock, technology applied to the inegrated graphic chip as well as the cpu. That said, I think HD and probably even Blu Ray video playback will be fine with the i330 (or is it the i-350?) and what an incredible value, expecially for a 14" notebook, which tends to cost more than the 15-16" screens in many models. If you have the budget and deskspace, however, the next two Samsung models, the 580 and 780 are even better, and pheonomenal bargains.
