I own a Q45 and the touch pad gives eratic behavior. Often when I touch the pad, it'll jump accross the screen. I can't seem to place why its doing it but it just seems to get confused. I have another laptop and it doesn't behave the same way.

    I've got the latest drivers.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know any settings in the touchpad control panel that may help with this problem?

Is that the latest driver on the Samsung download site or the latest provided by the manufacturer (is it Synaptics?). If Vista, make sure you have SP1 installed (it should have done so automatically).

Have you got tapping enabled? If so, disable it. (See under Device Settings for this and other options - test enabling / disabling them). Try changing the pad sensitivity (last option under the Device Settings).

Also, do you have any mouse drivers installed or a mouse connected?

Hi, Did you ever find a solution to the mouse problem on your q45. I have a q45 (plus two more people I know have them) all with the same problem. I am currently in contact with Samsung trying to get a solution to the problem. If you found an answer please let me know and if not, maybe you would like to join us in our complaint with Samsung.

no. Still no solution to the problem.

Sometimes I think the problem is that I'm lightly touching the pad in 2 places at once and this confuses it, but really I don't know. I'll join you're complaint but I'm definately interested if they give you a solution.

I also can't seem to PM you, probably because you're a new user like me.

    1. Make sure you have enabled the PalmCheck - push it over to the edge of the red zone. Then try changing the touch sensitivity.

    2. Are you using the latest driver from Synaptics?
