    Hello.

I am having problem with Samsung Q1. There a pretty anoying sound coming from it, randomly and I am not sure where from.

It sounds like if you drop a stone on a glass :)

I think it might be HDD related, but I've tested it and it seems fine.

    Any ideas?

It may still be the hard disk. If the noise is clicking, and is omcing from around the hard disk area, then it is quite normal. It is the arm moving back and forth, collecting data. However, the noise you have described is different. It could be the fan, but if the notebook is new, I wouldn't think this would be the case.

Think of it this way, there are only two moving parts in the Q1, the fan located on the top, and the hard disk.

if it's a mechanical noise, those are the only components which could produce it.
