    Hi,
The inevitable happened with my Samsung Princeton NP300U1A bought from the Staples deal in Oct 2011. Yesterday, the laptop wouldn't boot up and displays the message ' A disk read error occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart'.

I've tried to get into the BIOS menu by pressing F2 but to no luck. In fact, the laptop doesn't even display the Samsung logo on starting the laptop but displays the cursor for a few seconds before the message. I also tried F4 but no luck there too.

Did anyone experience this on their laptop and what would be a suggested fix?

    Please help.

I would remove the hard drive, put it in a USB enclosure and check it in another computer.
