    Hi there,
I just bought the NP700Z5C from BestBuy and I'm pretty happy with it.
It came with Windows 8 and I just couldn't stand it, so I installed Windows 7.
However, during the installation I deleted all the partitions of Windows 8, including the recoveries and backup and so.

I installed most of the drivers, but the brightness adjustment function and the backlight aren't working anymore.
Is there any specific driver to fix it? Or should I go back to Windows 8 and bare with it?
If I have to back to Windows 8, how do I do it :s ?
I deleted all the recoveries files and the laptop didn't come with any CDs.
Should I just go to BestBuy and ask for an installation CD?

    Thanks ;)

I'm not 100% but I'm thinking easy settings will get you back the brightness adjustment and the function backlight, download SW updater would be the first thing you should do. The recoveries files are going to be the problem, I nuked them a while back and I've never been able to get it back, not that it's a big problem I back everything up to an external HHD every few days.

I'm surprised that Samsung don't include instructions telling users to make backup discs using Samsung Recovery Solution.

As already suggested, use SW Update to get your drivers and Samsung software then Settings (used to be called Easy Settings) will fix the various functions. It includes a lot of modules as discussed here.
