hey guys, i just received my samsung gamer 7 and was really disappointed in the performance ESPECIALLY when playing diablo 3..

first off, the computer does get semi-hot. (back fan area)
2nd, why the hell is diablo 3 lagging..it should run PERFECTLY fine..i ran it once without touching the drivers(knowing new drivers are available).
didnt really impress me THAT much, so i downloaded both betas and tried both out. it made it worse.
went back to the stock driver that the system came with and 100% ran better/stable.
but even then, ive been messing with the config in the diablo 3 settings (ran with vsync, ran with vsync off fps set to default. then with vsync off, fps foreground/background set at 150/150. but still saw tearing..
turned on 120hz and set vsync on and god damn it looks good. BUTTTT still lag spikes occur..
my friends sager runs PERFECT 24/7 and was expecting the same performance (sager 8150 with 6990m) since the 675m is SLIGHTYYYYY better.
any idea why this could be?
so now i set my screen at 60hz, and turned on vsync and runs nicely but still with lag..i know not alot of people own this specific laptop, but to those who do, help me..

basically it lags when it REALLY shouldnt.

The lag is not really the fault of the laptop. Many players report issues with lag in Diablo 3. Welcome to the stupidity of single player online gaming.

While most lag is from blizzard's side, its possible your wifi antennae is spotty and contributing to the problem.

    Is it lag or stuttering?

If it's lag you should check your ping to the servers, maybe it's a WiFi problem or even D3 problem (I don't recall having lag in the last couple weeks, but I'm playing in EU servers with +-70 ping).

If it's stuttering it's either Blizzard or NVidia's fault and you should try a good driver cleaner in order to install a fresh new set of drivers in hope that it'll work good.

Also, D3 from my experience works better with AMD cards.

I always assumed the stuttering I experience was mostly lag related, but I suppose driver issues may contribute to the stuttering, not just the artifacts I observe with screen flashes.

When I first got to Inferno Act 2, it was unplayable due to lag, which pissed me off because I had no lag issues playing Act 1.

^wait so you would too get "screen glitches" and get random images on your laptop too?

also where can i find a good driver cleaner, when i received the laptop i did try the beta, but never deleted/cleaned up the drivers before..but according to MZbio its probably not even the problem..

I have a similar model and am also having graphic stretching in diablo 3. my friend's computers without cards are handling it just fine. I have everything on lowest settings and i still get graphic stretching. vsync, no aa, fps 40/20. I even decreased the resolution to the lowest 16:9 setting.
This game shouldn't be this graphic intensive, infact it should be the least. My older samsung laptop ran everything in the default high settings.

There definitely needs to be a driver update for this as the betas i've installed are not helping too much.

Alt Tab in and out straightens the game out. but it does get annoying
