Chronos 7 15.6" w/AMD Radeon HD 8700M.
04/28/13 Samsung just pushed out a 'graphics driver' update through their software update application.
Observations:
- Intel's HD 4000 driver is now version 9.17.10.2963 dated 01/06/2013
- AMD's 8700M driver remains at 9.3.5.0 dated 11/26/2012.
I haven't figured out what this means for the machine's performance yet, if it's a step toward real AMD drivers, or if Samsung is dumping the AMD support altogether.
- The catalyst suite no longer runs in the task bar.
- Right clicking the desktop shows that "switchable graphics" is no longer a listed among the options.
- Right clicking the desktop and selecting Catalyst Control Center results in the following pop-up message "Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center."
- A quick swing through AMD's site confirms that auto-detect for AMD drivers is still not functioning for this machine.
- HWiNFO64 does not list the Intel graphics, but does list "ATI/AMD Radeon 8750M (Mars-XT): ATI Internal"

I can't imagine Samsung dumping AMD support since they are just now releasing the ATIV book 6 which is almost identical to the Chronos 5 touchscreen, to include the GPU.

Catalyst is not even supporting 8XXX series yet plus these GPUs have not been released yet. Second AMD drivers for notebooks with switchable graphics is a total mess ever since Sandy Bridge processors came out two+ years ago.
At least you have a notebook with an unreleased and the latest GPU series.
Its up to AMD to finally end this misery for their user by allowing their vanilla drivers downloaded from their website to easily install with notebooks with switchable graphics.
Samsung Chronos 15.6" w/8700M has just downgraded AMD support with a "graphics driver update"
