Not sure where else to post this. I've had a major issue with the resolution on my Ativ Book 9 since I've bought it.

I have the resolution at 3200x1800 and when getting into Windows 8.1, the resolution is fine. When loading some programs or just regular internet browsing, the display will all of a sudden switch to some awful resolution; something like 1280x720. Interestingly though, this only affects the desktop, task bar, and the Windows start page. Everything else - including things like Chrome - are untouched.

Is there any reason why this is happening? Is there some software/hardware conflict that I'm missing? Any thoughts much appreciated.

Just as an update, the resolution resets to the standard 3200x1800 when I restart. All the drivers are up to date. I just don't know what causes the display to suddenly switch...
