Haven't seen a thread about this one yet. Samsung ATIV Book 8, very similar to the Book 6 as is discussed here and here. Main differences between the 2 computers are a significantly better battery in the 8 (about 2x battery life,) lighter weight and slightly thinner in the 6, better speakers in the 8, and the color.

So far I'm really liking it. The hard drive is a 5400 HDD so it can get pretty slow at times, but that's really the only major downside to it and you can just switch it out with a better hard drive to fix it. Very sturdy build. Decent keyboard and track pad, although the track pad is a one piece which really kinda sucks, but it isn't the worst thing in the world.

When I first booted up the computer, I had a memory through the ECMC tag I found on poolmon. At boot I was consuming 70-90% of the 8GB while running basically nothing, but this was all fixed by uninstalling the program "Intellimemory." After about 6 hours or so of use, my mouse disappeared on the screen. At first I thought I had disabled it through Fn+F5, but now I'm thinking it was some glitch with the touch screen. I could only get it back by restarting the system, and believe me I tried everything hoping it wouldn't come to that.

Overall I'm very satisfied with it, especially considering the price. I can't wait until I can get this thing up to 16 GB RAM and maybe an SSD instead of the turtle it's currently running on.

Also, you probably noticed that I am very new to the forums, so sorry if I'm doing this wrong.

I'm sorry, I just found the owner's thread after this got approved. Didn't see it hiding behind Chronos Series 7. I apologize for the clutter. Not sure if you can delete threads on this forum, if not could mods please do it?
