Hi,
it was discussed in many threads but I couldnt find an answer nowhere.
My problem: I want to reinstall my win7 from USB. I have 700Z5A-S04US model with 750GB HDD and 8GB SSD.
When I boot installation from USB and I want to istall Win7 on C partition on HDD (I have got there Recovery portition, C and D partition), Win7 tells me " Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition".
I have read that all exernal usb devices should be disabled. So I did - Card reader is empty and nothing except USB stick is plugged in - but still same error.
When I run install from DVD, everything works fine- system runs, express cache is OK. But reinstallation is much slower from DVD than from USB, thats why I want to install it from USB...
Is there some way to unplug 8GB SSD disc and how?
Have you got some ideas or experiences what is problem that I cant reinstall win7 from DVD?
Thank you for answers

Not sure if i understand you correctly, but.
Shutdown computer, insert usb. start computer. go into bios (f2) turn off fast bios. f10 (save and restart) press f10 in bios. Now you will see the bootable USB. Continue. -
Im able to boot from USB and enter windows setup and continue step by step, then choose "advanced" and the I can choose where to install Win7 (im my case on partition C) and when I click "next" it shows me this message:" Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition".
It happens only when Im booting from USB. If I boot from DVD, then everything works fine (after clicking "next" button it starts installation and no problem). -
Follow one of the guides in the thread linked below. I'm away from my PC right now or I would elaborate a bit more. But really, it's all there. Let me know how it goes.
