Eventually, one of my reason that I brought the 550P is that I got 2 other Samsung laptops in my apartment so that I can share the AC adapter between them. I have to travel every week so that I can put the AC adapter in each location.

However, I noticed that the power rating on the 550P's adapter is 19V, 4.74A which is different from my old Samsung laptop. The old one showed the power rating is 19V, 3.16A. Can anyone advise if there is any "RISK" or "POTENTIAL PROBLEM" to use the "19V, 3.16A" adaptor on my new 550P?

    Thx!!!

The only risk is that you might overload the power supply since the old one is not strong enough. What can happen then is that the computer might get unstable or turn off, and you might damage the power supply in the long run.

If you just use it for light work like movies, surfing, word etc you'l probably be fine, but for gaming I'd not gamble on using the weaker power supply.
