Hello everyone. For quite some time I've passed over Samsung in my search for a new laptop, finding they mostly offered either ultralights without discrete graphics or were based on older technology. However, recently someone told me that there are several models (possibly Asia/Korea only?) that are high end "performance in a stylish space" types, analogous to the Sony Z, HP Envy or to a lesser extent the MacBookPro. Here's what I'm looking for

13"-15" chassis, high build quality, Aluminum/Magnesium Alloy etc..
Excellent quality LED-backlit (or better?) display. Super high (1920x1080) resolution isn't an issue so much as quality.
Intel Core i7-620 option (13" preferably. 15" is fine too), Core i7-720/820 Quads in the 15" option.
    Discrete graphics - Nvidia GT330/335 1gb/ ATI 58xx/57xx 1gb or better.
    Backlit chiclet-style keyboard

Is there anything like this on the horizon? Thanks!

The X series used to be the premium product range.

You can see if any of these tick the right boxes: X318, X320, X360 (13" range), X418, X420, X460 (14" range), X518, X520 (15" range). If Google doesn't find enough info then you can download the manuals here.

I don't think Samsung will offer anything. You're better of looking at Sony, Apple and HP.

If you don't mind 16": Sony F and Dell XPS 16.
