You will find a program towards the end of this thread which will help you trawl the Samsung BIOS database and then download the file.

However, if one of the NP940X3G owners can tell us the full file name of the latest BIOS file (as downloaded using the standalone BIOS Update program) then it will be easier to find that file.

    Hi John,
Thank you very much for your helping.
My bios name is: P01ACJ and I able to download from the thread you show me. it on page 16.

    here link:
    http://sbuservice.samsungmobile.com/upload/BIOSUpdateItem/ITEM_20140224_21319_WIN_P03ACJ.exe

I download the exe file and extracted exe file. there are a lot of small file but no ROM or Bin file after extracted.
there is one file name [0] and the size is: 3315kb
is that the file I need to program to the bios chip?

I would expect the big file contain the BIOS update but I don't know the format.

It's one of those things that I hope to never need to understand fully. You may get better advice from those forums for people understand how the BIOSes are structured.

That's where you need to use the BIOS finder program near the end of this thread and spend a long time trying all the options of date and ID number.

The notebook was released (IIRC) in August 2013 so the first BIOS is probably dated within the previous 3 months. Also take note of the comments in that thread about Samsung making some big steps in the BIOS ID numbering.
