Replacement case for samsung r530

Hi folks,

I have had a samsung r530 laptop for nearly 5 years, unfortunately because it was living in my backpack for college a lot of the time and I was rough opening it up to make some modifications the case has become very rough with broken hinges and everything becoming quite loose.
Basically I just want to replace the case on my laptop, will I have to get another r530 case or is there another models that I can fit all my parts into?

 

You would be very lucky to find another notebook that your parts would fit into.

Spare parts for a notebook of this age may no longer be in stock (the R530 list at SamsungParts.com is very short). However, people may be selling used spare parts taken from dead notebooks.

Perhaps the best strategy would be to look for a dead R530 which you could buy cheaply and combine with yours to create a good working notebook.

Thanks for the reply but I know I can get a replacement R530 case, I'm looking for someone that has knowledge of the model and that would maybe know if there are other models that the parts would fit into?
