I don't know. If I had to guess, I'd say probably not.
I'm a potential buyer though. It seems that overall these laptops are one of the best for their price.

I heard that there will be nvidia graphics in them now, so that should fix the issue.

They will not change the brand on the GPU on the current line of these notebooks for sure, it requires alot of work, so don't expect that until the next real version. If they are going to change at all that is.

I've been contemplating getting the MBP, but I need it to play video games as well and I really don't want to bootcamp it.

At a fraction of the cost of a MBP, I'm hoping the S0AUS isn't plagued with issues like the S04, it would be perfect otherwise.

It looks like I'll have to wait until the end of February to get the laptop. The MacBook is looking more tempting now.

Mine will be arriving tomorrow. I'll check the specs. Highly doubt the hard drive is 7200 rpm though.

    Yeah me too :(

I've been debating since dec. on getting series 7 or hp envy and leaning towards envy because of the hd screen, but decided to wait for new releases

    Please do, mouse.

I've seen around these forums that they released drivers for the OpenGL issues and it's been smooth sailing on that, and the S0AUS comes with an Intel wireless card instead of the old Broadcom one that wasn't as...stellar.

I'd definitely purchase this laptop if your reviews are good, it was either this or the MBP and it's so much more expensive :/

So I'm typing this message from my new Samsung NP700Z5A-S0AUS :)
I can confirm that it has a 5400 rpm hard drive and a new wireless card. This thing is fast. By the way, I did have the high end 15" MacBook Pro for a week and I can honestly say that this laptop was worth the purchase. It has nearly the same specs and cost $800-$1000 less.

Why couldn't Samsung put a 1080 screen...would have bought this as soon as it came available...but now I'm leaning towards the envy after looking at samsung for so long :\

Anybody know if there's a 14" that comes with the Intel card?
And which model of the 14" that has the least amount of issues. I'm gonna put an Intel 320 SSD in it, so the harddrive RPM isn't a factor.

There are essentially the same for all models. As for the Intel card only the new ones have Intel Card like NP700Z5A-S0AUS from someone who posted eariler. If your going to swapping it for SSD, then you can swap it for Intel, it's not difficult at all.

I don't have the intel chip and my performance varies depending on how good your router is. I don't get affected unless i'm really out of range.

Amazon pictures of this model do not show the discreet number pad on the keyboard that the 15.6" models usually have... can you confirm whether or not the S0AUS has a numpad?

Yes, the S0AUS has a numpad. Aside from the 5400 RPM hard drive, this model seems to be the best one that's consistently in stock these days.

I'm actually planning on swapping out the hard drive for the Samsung 830 Series 512GB SSD (MZ-7PC512). I did a quick CrystalDiskMark on the Samsung 830, if you're curious. I'm hoping to get some free time to do the swap soon...

well the one i m getting from the microsoft store has a 7200rpm drive +expresscache. So no issues there. I have no use for 250gb of additional storage, nor is myy house too big or router 2 far away. So m good. looks like the rest of the issues have been fixed anyways.

What exactly model do you buy? I think it's S03 right?

    Samsung Series 7 (NP700Z5A-S03) Review & Rating | PCMag.com
Here they say it doesn't have WIDI, so the WIFI chipset is Broadcom. SAUS has a better WIFI card, but on the other hand has slower Hard Drive.

Note that the PCMag review doesn't give the last two letters (the country code). So it might be S03US, but might not, depending on where the review was done. And S03US probably doesn't have the same spec as S03UK or S03AU or ......
