    Fellow NP700Z5A owners,

Can someone please confirm the max core clock speed for the 6750M according to GPU-Z?

I noticed a significant performance drop in recent months, and under 100% load, my max core clock speed now is only 300Mhz. My understanding is that it should be double that. This is supported by a GPU-Z log file I retained from early May, which showed a 600Mhz maximum.

I tried uninstalling the 8.940 driver fully, and installed the latest Leshkat one instead, but the reading remains the same.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this, or possible fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a screen shot showing the load when running Crysis, which is performing very poorly at 720p (20-25FPS on Medium/High settings no AA). The memory clock also seems to be running lower than would be expected.

I wish you good luck. Samsung replaced the entire machine back then when my GPU was stuck at 150/100.

Try enabling and disabling Powerplay though.

Thanks, I discovered a few hours ago that your suggestion is correct - Powerplay was the reason - I hadn't switched it back to maximum performance while plugged in, after I reinstalled the drivers and the CCC.

However, before that, I installed MSI Afterburner to try and force it back up to 600/800, which worked as well. While doing so, I noticed the temps got pretty damn high (approaching 90C). I actually had to underclock it to keep the temps between 80 - 85C (see screenshot).

I may need keep doing this while it's summer in Canada. I'll certainly wait until winter before attempting an OC again as I BSODed while doing that yesterday (@ 700/850). Max Payne 3 keeps this thing at almost constant 100% load, so it's a good heat stress test.

Any suggestions as to the max CPU/GPU temp I should maintain to avoid hardware damage? I've been looking online and there's a lot of variation in suggestions - some say keep it below 70, others say, below 80 or even 90 is fine.

For the Z5A, 90+C is normal due to the chassis.
