New to all this so any help is apprieciated, I have a Samsung R700 and would very much like to put Windows 7 on it. The Windows advisor tells me that " we dont have compatibilty information on this device" NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS and Realtek High Definition Audio (with EDS )
Like to hear from anyone that has put windows 7 on or any advice would be much apprieciated. Thanks for taking the time

I've successfully installed and used Win7 on my R700 for a while now. Only issues i've had are some function key actions not acting as they did after waking from sleep, but it's pretty much all good. Sound and graphics work for me without issue on desktop and ingame.

The camera works, though i haven't tried it with the provided camera software (i assume it works with it fine), and i don't remember having any issues with drivers. It was a while ago now, so my memory's a little fuzzy, but it was running everything without problems shortly after finishing the install.

You will need to install the Samsung specific software such as Easy Display Manager (which gets the Fn key shortcuts to work).

had a problem in as much that win7 wouldnt detect the camera, once I disconnected it and then plugged it back in. windows installed a new device and all working fine.
