    Hello folks,

because the specs of the Mainboards are the same for the R580 and the R780, I thought I could install it in a R780.
Although everything works fine, I only get picture on an external Monitor. The LCD fires the Backlight only (wich responds to Brightness Settings).
Can anyone tell me, if this can be solved by flashing a R780 Bios for the same Board?

    thanks in advance
    Thom

While the headline specs may be the same, are the boards physically the same? If not, there could well be minor hardware differences which are reflected in the BIOS code.

Personally, I would only use a BIOS that is provided for a specific notebook model.
