So i have an issue with my QX410 laptop, when i press the power button, it doesnt turn on. I have checked the battery(it has over 12 volts), unpluged battery for 10 seconds and plugged ac cord in, and the green charge light came on. Now when i press the power button the blue light next to the charge light flashes once but nothing else happens. nothing looks burnt or smells funny. I am decent with computers, but this has me stumped.
help would be.. well helpful =D
    thanks

    1. Remove mains plug, remove battery and hold down power button for a minute to clear any CMOS issues. Then reconnect power and try again.
    2. Remove any RAM and replace one at a time and try starting. (Any RAM connectivity issues quickly stall the boot process. Removal / replacement cleans the contacts).
    3. Then try booting without the HDD (can also stall the boot process in some situations).

Thank you. Did you try removing / replacing the RAM? The contacts can oxidise and give a poor connection. If the BIOS can't properly identify the RAM then the boot process stops very quickly with no messages other than a light or two.

Can you get into the BIOS by repeatedly pressing F2 just as the computer is starting?

Thank you. I fear that something is dead. In the old days of desktops the BIOS would give various beeps to indicate the type of problem, but no such luck these days. I would be trying the dismantle / reassemble route in the hope that it disturbs the problem and brings things back to life.
