    Hi everyone,
I just inserted a new HDD into my Samsung QX411, but when I insert the Samsung Recovery Disc that came with my computer, it won't boot and install Windows, it just goes to the BIOS screen that asks if I want to boot from the new HDD or the CDDVDRW Drive.

Is the recovery media not bootable or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The recovery media should be bootable. Try pressing the Esc key when the BIOS screen first shows. This should bring up a list of boot options. Then select the optical drive.

If that won't work, and alternative is to make your own Windows boot disc. See here.
