    Good question about the HDD speed. None of the retailers show the speed.

    Fujitsu's site[/URL] shows a 4200rpm 250GB so maybe it is that one (Samsung do use Fujitsu HDDs). It claims a read / write power consumption of 1.6W. If that is true then it's well below average and will give a useful boost to the Q45's battery run time (provided there's a correspondingly low idle power consumption). Anyway, the high data density will mean that 250GB 4200rpm will give very acceptable performance.

    Thanks John, a friend of mine is looking to possibly buy a Q45, and the £200 saving seems very reasonable considering the minor difference in performance!
