    Hi,

I'm a fairly proud owner of a new Q35 Pro.

Only one thing disturbs me: the power cord plug does not seem to fit, there remains a gap of about 7mm between AC-adapter and power cord plug, see attached photo.

So the connection seems to be very loose. This can't be right, can anybody confirm this?

    Cheers, Ernie.

BTW. The model is Q35-Pro Bamit, bought in Germany

No worry. That is perfectly normal. A photo of mine is attached. It has given me no cause for concern.

Perhaps the plug is designed for a range of sockets, some of which may be more deeply recessed.

Thanks for the quick answer, John.

    Still it seems very odd.

When I move the plug up and down a bit, it seems very loose.

When I plug it into the adapter, from the first point of resistance (contact) it only goes in another 2mm or so. Does not make me feel very confident.

My plug is in as far as it will go.

Now you mention it, there is a little vertical wobble, but it is not the plug moving in the socket but the whole socket (about 2cm square) is moving slightly within the PSU. Is yours doing the same?

No here it's the plug itself wobbling, not the socket (only slightly).

Does anybody know is this some kind of standard power cord which would be available in an electronics shop?

Yes that is a standard plug and socket. In English it is called a "Fig 8" connector because it looks like the number 8. You could also look for one of these surge supressors (or similar) which go between the plug and the socket. They provide a first level of protection against surges and are very compact. You may find that one of those will sort out the looseness.
