Has anybody installed Vista SP1 on the Q35 yet? Everything running smoothly afterwards?

I'm still waiting for SP1 being offered via Windows Update, but it does not show up here.

Running German Vista Business with Thai and Chinese IMEs installed. Would that prevent SP1 from showing up?

    Cheers, Ernie.

    Follow-up:

Just installed SP1 on my Q35 successfully.

    To prepare installation:

    - I made a Complete-PC image backup (just in case)

    - installed the latest Intel drivers for wireless and video.

    - defragged the HD

    - uninstalled AVG Free Antivir

Then downloaded SP1 via Windows Update, about 66 MB.

Turned off wireless, then installed SP1. This took about 30 minutes and went without a glitch.

Re-installed AVG Free but without email-scanner because the AVG email scanner is apparently buggy under SP1.

So far everything seems to be working fine. Startup seems a little slower than before, but from what I read the system will tune itself back to normal after a while.

Should anything unusual happen I will keep you updated.

    Thanks for the update.

Vista SP1 doesn't seem to bring any noticeable performance improvements but does fix a lot of problems.
