I've successfully upgraded my Q320 from Windows Vista to Windows 7.

Windows 7 appears to have all the relevant drivers included.

However, I've always been of the view, mainly from the days of Windows 9x, that you should install the manufacturers own drivers.

    What do you think?

Stick with the Windows 7 drivers or install the Samsung provided ones?

The driver set built into Windows 7 is nearly 6 months old and it is possible that Samsung have released some updated drivers. Check the list here and give attention to any drivers released since October (the Windows 7 launch).

There are also several Samsung software packages that you should install to get features such as the Fn key shortcuts working.

    Of course, makes sense.
(Why didn't I think of that?? I must be getting old!)

Out of interest, if there wasn't much in the dates, would you stick with the Windows 7 drivers?

I upgraded from Windows Vista so this software should still be installed. Right?

I would assume that the Samsung drivers might have some improvements / bug fixes, particularly where they have been released since Windows 7 original launch in October.

Yes. The Samsung-specific software will not be part of the standard Windows 7 installation.
