    Hello!

I have been looking all over the internet to find a way to solve this problem and ended up here!

So, over a year ago, I bought this Windows 7 Home Premium Samsung Notebook from a friend of mine who had stepped on the screen and broke it. Well, earlier this week, my Dad bought a brand new screen for it off ebay and we just got it today. Hooked it up and it looks like someone barfed rainbows all over it. The screen itself does not look like it has any physical damage, no cracks or anything! So I don't know what's wrong...if I hook it up to the tv the distortion and colors are fine when I just use that as the screen.

Do you think my Dad may have received the wrong screen? The box that it came in said Samsung D: He entered the code that was on the back of the old one to ebay and that's how he got this one. Can anyone help me out??? I don't want this computer to be just a big waste of my Dad's money :(

    I have pictures below~

I wonder if the problem is with the cable and the connector on the panel. Does the connector on the old and new panels look exactly the same?

If the panel was bought from one of the specialist replacement display companies then they may be able to help.

I currently have 2 of these computers in the shop and have tried numerous screens and cables.

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? I hate to dig up an old thread but it is literally the only thread I could find.
